Sculptures. Drawings. Texts.

In my artwork, I am interested in the "informel'" - an open, unfinished work. It is the need for the unfinished and imperfect; a form that is halfway between destruction and rebirth. For me, the matter, its strength and biological nature, creates but can also destroy and deconstruct. Its creation, transformation into a new, different world is the most important reason behind creativity; it is the embodiment of life and death – an apocalyptic vision of the world. In my works, I strive to connect worlds that seem to be contradictory. These hybrid forms are the result of the collision of what is universally known: biological, animal and human – with a reality that is distinctly unrecognizable and unconscious. Nameless forms, characters defined by both fragility and a strong need to survive. "Non–Humans" are halfway between destruction and rebirth. A particularly important practice used by me in the process of creation is "daydreaming", the moment when the dream world comes into contact with the real world. My forms make for a balancing act of sleep and reality, abstraction and figuration.
